Luxury lodge accommodation in a waterfront vineyard setting within an easy drive of Tauranga and only six minutes from mural town Katikati in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty. The Point is on Tauranga Harbour with spectacular mountain and water views and backed by the Coromandel & Kaimai forest parks. Walks, cycling, kayaking, boating, fishing or sailing are available. Nearby are Waihi Beach and Mt Maunganui with magnificent surf beaches, while Rotorua, Whakatane, White Island and thermal areas are an easy drive.

The Lodge The lodge is new, by New Zealand architect, William Algie who is known for eco-timber designs.  Local riverstone created a magnificent exterior while inside imported stone features.  The wooden furniture is hand-crafted with a decor that is contemporary and elegant design.
Lounges Lounges consist of the summer lounge, which is a suntrap with large windows offering expansive harbour views. The perfect spot for coffee and muffins or wine tasting.  The Inglenook winter lounge has a warm cozy feeling and is perfect for winter evenings with a log fire, comfortable club sofas.

		Dining Fine food is the hallmark of The Point Lodge.  Regardless of the meal we strive to make every occasion a special occasion. Dinner is always memorable; sampling wines, indulging in fine food and enjoying professional service in a relaxed atmosphere. Cafe meals can be served in the courtyard or on a terrace over-looking the sea. Guests can take a hamper lunch and visit one of the many un-crowded Bay of Plenty beaches.

The Vineyard The vineyard is about passion! Planted in Chardonnay, the wine is vinted in our winery. Kerry will be pleased to share his passion for wine, and you are welcome to look round the vineyard and winery.
Your Hosts Anne and Kerry Guy built The Point to indulge in the beautiful setting on the edge of Tauranga Harbour.  They have traveled extensively and enjoy the company of guests.  They are New Zealanders who are passionate about their country and in particular their slice of paradise in the Bay of Plenty. Packages and Products The Point Lodge is delighted to offer you the option of either our LUXURY ACCOMMODATION PLANS which are based on self-contained Chardonnay suite, or the B&B Montrose Suite, or one of our special packages. The BREAKAWAY is a TWO night package ideal for a weekend, but can be taken anytime which includes coffee & muffins, a bottle of estate wine in your suite, wine tasting, continental breakfast and luxury suite accommodation.
